Nâga is a mythical animal of the hindouism. It is represented like having several heads and of chimerical aspects. In the legends of the South-East Asia, Nâgas are creatures of the underground field. They have as an enemy the mythical bird Garuda, which, like Nâga, is the incarnation of Vishnou.
The belief of Nâgas is very encrée among inhabitants of Laos and Thailand which live along Mekong. Much of enter them practises offerings and even sacrifices with "God of water".
What interests us is an extraordinary phenomenon which occurs every year, the night of the 15th day of the 11th month of the Laotian lunar calendar. This phenomenon extends on more than 20 km between the zone of Pak-Ngeum in Laos and the province of Nog Khai in Thailand. This night, of the ignited aerolites are expelled of the river towards the sky, and come to be crushed on banks of Mekong. From these aerolites are extracted from the gems which are called Nâga Eye.
The Nâgas Eyes are very rare and only some salesmen proposes some in Thaîlande.
Their various colors enable them to be used in lithotherapie. Largest gems are used to make emerge the latent capacities, and amplify them thereafter. The most powerful parts are dark colors. Black being most powerful. |
