Dzi which one can brilliantly translate by "polished", "luminous" are agate pearls of form lengthened having on their surfaces decoration of a various and varied geometrical forms, but having each one a quite precise significance.
Their origins are rather varied, because for some, they are worked by the man, and for others they are one present of the kingdom of the gods.
There exists much of myths and legends around Dzi.
More current is that they are not origin terrestrial, but that they "were sown" on ground by the gods so that that which finds them, have better karma.
Of Dzi were found in Tibet, on very old sites going back to 4500 years, that is to say well before the arrival of Buddhism, in full period of Bön shamanism.
This fact they are regarded as the powerful one and rare amulet. One can see some decorating statues in the temples, with the neck of the Tibetans, and to even carry by Lamas or Rinpotche.
Dzi are supposed to bring good fortune, to draw aside the bad spirits, and to protect its carrier from the dangers and the accidents, and to even bring longevity and good health.
There are 3 family of Dzi:
- Dzi natural.
They have various colors, but their drawings are in fact
veinings of the stone.
Oldest would have really drawings which would emerge from the center of the stone. It would be original, and thus, extremely rare Dzi there!
- Dzi Manufactured.
The stone remains agate, and the drawings on its surface its fact of the hand of the man, but according to a secret technique.
- False Dzi, or Nalo-Dzi.
They are terra cotta, enamelled or even out of plastic.
There one moves away from the esotericism to enter the universe of the jewels imagination.
A very known history makes state that one of the two only surviving Taiwaneses of an air crash, summer carrying old Dzi.
A friend has me, with which I bought some of my Dzi, was largely thanked by people while having bought to him. Indeed, following a serious car accident, those left there unscathed (or with some blue) whereas they would have being very seriously wounded, to see worse. Dzi on the other hand, him was found broken in several pieces, as if it had undergone the damage in the place of its carrier.
It is known as also that certain Dzi very old are crushed and used in the preparation of pill medicinal Tibetan to the curative properties exceptional.
It would be also an excellent means of rebalancing will chakras them. And it is known (I did myself of it the experiment) that when one carries for the first time Dzi, one has during the first days, a light stressing of the rate of heartbeat, a light migraine and an impression of heat which emerges from the stone.
Scarcity of old Dzi and of mainly to the fact that they are transmitted, from generation to generation within the same family, and that it is almost inconceivable to separate some. |
